The U-Step Walker was designed to increase independence and eliminate falling among those with neurological conditions. This stand up walker has a patented U-shaped base is ultra-stable It surrounds and braces the user in every direction from falling. The U-Step’s innovative braking system is easy to use and puts you in complete control. The U-Step will not roll unless you are ready to walk. When you lightly squeeze either brake release lever, the U-Step rolls with you. When the lever is released, the U-Step will stop immediately. This feature is particularly helpful when standing as the walker will not roll away from you.
The U-Step II has a patented spring-loaded front caster that enables it to roll over obstacles, such as door molding strips and cracks in the sidewalk. This avoids sudden jolts as well as the need to lift the walker over small obstacles. By removing the safety pins that stop the rear wheels from springing up, you can navigate up larger obstacles such as curbs without lifting the walker. Comfort features include an adjustable, padded backrest, padded seat, and a convenient under the seat storage basket.
The optional laser module can help normalize your walking and increase your stride. Press the red button on the module to project a bright red laser line on the floor to guide your step. You can also turn on the sound feature to set a beat pattern for walking speed.
